Vonnick and Manh Hung arranged a Hawaii party at the ranchon .It was a lot of work to get the sand there, but the party was fun! Even our director, Paco, did the limbo :)

Bodega day..that's the day we get our food supplies for a week, it's always on Thursday. Here the boys from Corazon de Oro are helping us :) In the evening we sometimes play cards... can be interesting as it seems all countries have the same games, but with different rules :)

Descanso Madera

Bilde
One descanso we decided to climb the inactive volcano Madera ... The track was just mud and stones..but the hungover guide kept motivating us :) The beautiful view at the shores of the crater lagoon.........

This is Finca Magdalena, the nice hostel at Madera, where we stayed.Slept in hammocks for 1,50USD :) ..and if you zoom in to the last picture, you can see a mono congo :)

Volcano Concepcion letting us know it is active...

Descanso Ojo de Agua

Bilde
This is Ojo de Agua = Water eye. A beautiful place to relax and swim. It's on the island, so this is where we go when we can't afford to leave. Entrance is only 1 USD , and you can also buy cheap food there..and there are not that many tourists going there, so it's also a nice place to meet locals. Last time we met a guy who grew up in NPH , he has his own family now and lives with them on the island. We spent almost all day with them, and they drove us home :)

Toilet surprises....

Descanso San Juan del Sur

Bilde
Decided to take the Lancha (small boat) instead of the ferry..went pretty well, so we did it on the way back as well..waves were huge and it felt like a roller coaster and water came in everywhere.. :) Waiting for the bus can also make you a bit weird sometimes....... Our hostel room and the beautiful view..only 5 USD!

Walked up to El Mirador above San Juan, beautiful views..also picked some coconuts on the way up :)

I WENT SURFING!!!

Bilde
Anne and I surfed for the first time! We rented a surfboard for 5 hours and Vonnick was our instructor. We were so horrified of the big waves...at least they seemed very big to us... and Anne, who normally wears glasses, couldn't see anything, so Vonnick did some wavephobia -therapy with us before we started. And i am very proud to announce that we both managed to stand on the board a few times! Wohooo ...! We were pretty exhausted after that, and went to celebrate with a big chocolate milkshake at the market :) Unfortunately we don't have any pics of us surfing, but we will bring a waterproof camera next time :) MUCHAS GRACIAS , VONNICK ! :)
