El Castillo



We met Julio on the boat. He was a soldier during the war and has been working as a guide for 16 years. He was so fascinated by us being volunteers helping his country that he decided to guide us the whole day, got us a room for half price and invited us home to his house in Sabalo the next day.He really made this trip special for us :)

Every day our host drove us  to a new little island.Most of them were only beach and coconut trees..perfect! Lunch-time Me, trying...

Should I do this..? Of course! Heeelp..! The very enthusiastic guide at Nacbé, who convinced us into climbing down to a chamber of bugs. The mayans used these chambers to store food,etc.
