Sleeping on concrete floor didn't really make us fit for fight the next day...neither did diarrhoea.


At least the horses and mules where more fit than us. They're not to ride on, but to carry all our food and water supply for the next 6 days.You can find half a dozen agencies in Flores (10 hr by bus from Guatemala City) offering this trek. BUT I strongly suggest you contact this guy for very reliable guides and fare pricing:Cacho (a cousin of my guide, Angel) + 502 5426-2478 This way the guide and his family get your money, and not the agency in Flores.Most of the guides do a lot of work for very little money.
